Singing and COPD

January 12, 2014

Singing is good for COPD click here for the article link. Its good to know that researchers continue to look into singing and its benefits. There have been a raft of interesting articles of late from how singers in a choir regulate their heartbeats, how it breaks down social barriers and generally has a really positive and lasting effect. My warm ups for a choir session always involve work on breathing. I am sure that some people who come along think its all a bit silly. However one lady came to choir a bit late commented on how much harder it was to start singing without the initial warming up. I truly feel that singing is a whole body experience and a warm up should encorporate as much of your body as possible.
